Essential DutiesLead revenue growth across targeted business lines
- Drive revenue generation and expansion opportunities, with an initial focus on the programmatic portfolio under the Chief Program Officer’s leadership
- Cultivate new customer relationships, expand existing accounts, and close deals directly
- Set clear growth priorities and targets in alignment with the organization’s strategic and financial goals
Build sales infrastructure and market capabilities
- Establish and operationalize a disciplined, organization-wide sales framework
- Standardize pipeline management, forecasting, and sales compensation structures
- Develop consistent sales governance and accountability mechanisms
- Over time, integrate decentralized sales functions into a cohesive, high-performing structure
Lead marketing strategy and execution
- Directly oversee Marketing, ensuring alignment between brand, sales, and business growth priorities
- Manage a dedicated marketing budget and team focused on supporting revenue growth and market positioning
- Strengthen Northwest Center’s external visibility and value proposition
Launch and scale new growth initiatives
- Identify and advance partnership opportunities, package and sell mission-aligned programs as clear offerings, and explore entry into new markets
- Partner with program leaders to translate innovative ideas into sustainable revenue streams
- Build and maintain strategic alliances that align with the organization’s mission and business model
Collaborate across the organization
- Work closely with the COO on operational readiness to support growth, while maintaining clear accountability for revenue strategy and delivery
- Partner with the Chief Development Officer, Chief Program Officer, and other executives to ensure alignment between earned revenue, mission delivery, and financial sustainability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 10 to 15 years of senior leadership experience driving revenue growth, business development, or market expansion in complex or mission-driven organizations
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and leading go-to-market efforts in complex organizations
- Strong understanding of mission-aligned business models and the ability to turn programs and services into offerings that generate revenue
- Track record of building or transforming sales, marketing, or business development teams and systems
- Excellent communication, influence, and leadership skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and build consensus across functions
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, capable of aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals
- Experience working in a mission-driven or nonprofit environment is strongly preferred
- Deep commitment to Northwest Center’s mission and an understanding that sustainable revenue fuels impact
